Takai Tofu & Soymilk Equipment Co. was founded in 1917 and was the first maker of tofu and soymilk manufacturing equipment in Japan. Our products range from small-scale devices to large automatic manufacturing equipment and are marketed to tofu makers throughout Japan via our original nationwide network of agents. We have also exported overseas since the early days.
Besides being a domestic foodstuff in Japan, tofu is a health food in developed countries and an important source of protein in developing countries. So far we have exported tofu manufacturing equipment to 160 cities in 38 countries.

Corporate policy

Our company was a pioneer in the automation of tofu manufacturing equipment, and we developed the industry's first fully-automated tofu manufacturing equipment. Since then we have been actively developing a host of new products, such as equipment to manufacture odourless soymilk and soymilk ice cream manufacturing equipment.
Tofu manufacturing equipment is a food chemistry plant that works by the chemical reaction between soymilk and a coagulant. In order to deal with the upgrading and specialization of tofu manufacturing equipment, we have been prompt to employ excellent young technical staff in the fields of machinery, electricity, chemistry and computers and endeavoured to create an environment where they can demonstrate their abilities to the full (for example, the early introduction of computers, the introduction of CAD systems, and the provision of well-appointed laboratories and a pleasant manufacturing environment). We labour night and day to develop and manufacture products that meet our customers' needs.
When we install our equipment for clients throughout Japan we receive a great deal of advice and guidance concerning tofu production; along with our original in-house research into tofu mechanisms, we put this know-how to good use in the tasty, safe and sanitary production of tofu.
